As we are still in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic and we have Brexit coming up on the near horizon many observers may think that now would be the worst possible time to take the leap and start a new business. But many observers may be wrong.
Starting Up A New Business
As although the economy has taken a huge hit and will likely take years to fully recover, entrepreneurs with the right planning and the right product or services could become very successful right now.
There is no doubt that there could be a second wave of infections either in the next week or so, or in the autumn or winter, but most experts seem to agree that in the future waves of coronavirus infections will probably be fairly localised. These localised outbreaks should be able to be controlled with the right procedures in place so that it doesn`t get out to the wider community.
The number of infections, particularly here in Northern Ireland, has fallen rapidly over the last few weeks so this is all positive news.
Some Businesses Thrived During The Pandemic
Even when we were right in the middle of this crisis there were businesses who thrived. Some turned their business around to start producing such things as PPE equipment and hand sanitisers and hand gels. And some food businesses managed to set up a delivery service fairly quickly and they kept their business ticking over nicely.
So if you can take a cue from the above and start a business which is producing an in-demand product or service right now you could do exceptionally well. All it takes is a little imagination and a good work ethic and it is surprising what you could achieve.
New Businesses Need To Do Their Due Diligence
Starting a business that is going to last cannot just be done on a whim of course. You need to do your due diligence on what you need to set up your business, you need to find suitable premises, locate supplies of stock that you need, check out the competition, take on staff and find funding etc.
Luckily this is where we come in. We can help start-up businesses with much of the above, help them develop a business plan and secure funding for them which is at the right level for their particular type of business and that will allow them to grow in a timely manner.
